EICMA 2018 is this and much more. An event at its 76th edition this year, during which the Fieramilano exhibition centre in Rho will host the industry’s top brands, open to the public from Thursday 8 until Sunday 11 November (November 6 and 7 are dedicated to press and operators only). The Italian acronym EICMA, “Esposizione Internazionale di Cicli, Motocicli e Accessori (international exhibition of bikes, motorbikes and accessories), already explains all the main features of this event. The EICMA trade show, an essential landmark for the whole industry, offers its visitors a preview of the latest innovations on two wheels: a journey through the leading motorcycle manufacturers where you can admire new models, technologies and innovative solutions. An exhibition with all the latest products intended to invade the dealers’ showrooms in coming months, but also a space dedicated to curiosities and entertainment, with several special areas. Like the Start-Up area (Hall 11), where newly established companies that have been operating for less than 48 months and led by entrepreneurs under 35 make their debut in the motorcycle world, bringing their fresh, modern ideas and solutions: a unique moment to seal that perfect bond between tradition and innovation that can only lead to brilliant projects. And while hall 11 showcases the innovative spirit brought by Start-Ups, the journey to the future continues through hall 22, where the world of E-Bikes (pedal-assist bikes/pedelec) takes centre stage. At EICMA you can see, but also feel their practicality yourself, through courses specifically designed to include steep sections and artificial barriers simulating an actual path providing the customers with the most accurate idea of their daily use. EICMA is not only an exhibition, but also a professional and innovative marketplace. Indeed, in the Temporary Bikers Shop Area, you can buy spare parts, helmets, tyres, bikers’ clothing and various components. What’s more, starting from 2018, hall 9 will host an area dedicated to the display and sales of pre-owned and vintage motorcycles: a unique opportunity to buy your bike on site, enjoying specialised and professional customer care, as well as an actual Outlet offering great deals not to be missed. Exhibitions, trading, curiosities and entertainment at the 76th edition of the Motorcycle Show in Milan. Those looking for an adrenaline rush will enjoy the MotoLive area: an arena where professional riders will perform incredible acrobatic numbers for the public’s delight. Plus, live music, Freestyle Motocross and an exciting contest with prizes.
