Fra-Ber - Patented Fra-Ber - Patented

Alkaline detergent, easy to rinse and with no phosphates and phosphonates. Excellent for removing stubborn dirt from bilges, inner and outer parts of boats, but also to thoroughly clean teak surfaces. Fra-Ber made this product by using surfactants of vegetable origin and completely biodegradable according to regulation 648/2004/EC*. This aspect allows us to be increasingly environmentally friendly, namely towards the sea, with excellent cleaning results.



  • Regular cleaning: 25 ml in 8 l of water (0.3%).
  • Intense cleaning: from 240 ml to 800 ml in 8 l of water (3-10%).Pour the solution into the compartment to be cleaned or spray the solution onto the parts to be treated, then rinse with water. Use a sponge or brush to thoroughly remove the dirt.
  • Thorough teak cleaning: wet the teak with fresh water, apply the detergent evenly to the surfaces, leave to work for 5-10 minutes. Rub energetically with a broomcorn or stiff nylon brush. Rinse well with fresh water.

* EU Regulation 648/2004 defines ‘Complete aerobic biodegradability’ as ‘the level of biodegradation obtained when a surfactant is completely eliminated by microorganisms in the presence of oxygen which cause it to break down into carbon dioxide, water and mineral salts of any other present element (mineralisation)…’ (EEC Reg. 648/04 – Art. 2, 8). ‘The biodegradability of surfactants in detergents is considered satisfactory if the level of biodegradability (mineralisation) measured … is at least 60% within a period of twenty-eight days…’ (EEC Reg. 648/04 – Annex III).
* “According to EU Regulation 286/2011, in the title on the ‘Rapid degradability of organic substances’ in section, substances must be considered as rapidly degradable if at least one of the following conditions is met: a) in studies of prompt biodegradation within 28 days at least the following levels of degradation are reached; i) in tests based on dissolved organic carbon: 70%; ii) in tests based on oxygen depletion or carbon dioxide formation: 60% of the theoretical maximum value.
