WHAT ARE GLAZES?

FRA-BER GUIDES

A NEW STANDARD.

What aspect defines the need for an action?
Within the polishing process, the application of the glaze, such as G1 glossy, is an optional step. However, if you’re looking for something that can add intensity and brightness to paint, this is what you really need.
Glazes are polishes that release special oils, kaolin, or other substances to hide minor defects of the chassis and considerably increase the brightness of the colours. Thanks to its composition (it contains state-of-the-art nanopolymers), G1 Glossy can protect and enhance the brightness of the chassis, providing a pleasant “silk” effect even on light colours, where it is more difficult to obtain a perfect finish. It can also be used to restore a perfect finish in a short time without affecting the transparent layer. Should a sealant be required, we recommend applying G1 Glossy after the sealant. This way, you will obtain excellent results in terms of colour brightness without losing its protective properties. Sealants and waxes protect well but for less time compared to glaze. That’s why we recommend applying the glaze after the sealant and not before.
In the presence of swirls and scratches, G1 Glossy is not the ideal product. We recommend using a high-performing polish, such as A1 All in one instead.
Before using G1 Glossy, we recommend washing and decontaminating the surface using clay bar and polishing it using a glaze as a finish.

GLAZE: ALWAYS AND FOREVER.

G1 Glossy can be used whenever you need to enhance the natural brightness of the chassis. It’s not harmful or abrasive on the surfaces, as it’s a state-of-the-art product containing nanopolymers.
Apply it at the end of a washing cycle, upon redelivering a vehicle or any time you want a vehicle to shine as new.
We recommend applying G1 Glossy at the end of each washing cycle, immediately after the polishing stage and after having decontaminated and washed the surface using clay bar.
Remember that for optimal results, it’s good practice to apply the glaze after the sealant or wax (such as SC0 Hydro Sealant) has dried.
This way, the sealant will come into contact with the chassis, thus ensuring long-lasting brightness.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: SIMPLE AND FAST.

To apply G1 Glossy, we recommend using Fra-Ber black and soft buffer. However, thanks to its formula, G1 Glossy can be also applied manually, as it’s easy to process and doesn’t need single panel application.

Random orbital polisher.

  1. Choose a suitable backing plate and centre the black buffer.
  2. Apply three drops of product, forming a triangle at the end of the buffer.
  3. Outline a work surface (60 x 60 cm).
  4. Turn the polisher on at a low speed (1-3), distributing the glaze on the entire area.
  5. Start polishing the chassis from a corner of the outlined surface, setting the polisher speed to 4.
  6. It would be ideal to apply a 3 Kg weight to the head of the polisher during this operation.
  7. Carry out this operation in a controlled way making constant movements from one corner to the other (4 cm – 8 cm per second).
  8. Repeat this same operation in the opposite direction.
  9. Keep distributing the glaze on the entire surface.
  10. Proceed polishing the area but in the opposite direction.
  11. Turn the polisher off when this step is complete.
  12. Remove the excess product using our special Micron Buffing cloth.

Carry out all these steps for the rest of the vehicle until you obtain an optimal result.

Rotary polisher.

  1. Choose a suitable backing plate for the polisher and centre the black buffer.
  2. Apply three drops of product, forming a triangle at the end of the buffer.
  3. Outline a work surface (60 x 60 cm).
  4. Distribute the product evenly using the polisher set to off.
  5. Turn the polisher on at a low speed (1-3), distributing the glaze on the entire area.
  6. Set the polisher to a medium speed (between 700 and 900 revs).
  7. Do not apply excessive pressure to the polisher.
  8. Move the polisher in a controlled way from one corner to the other (5-10 cm per second).
  9. Repeat this same operation in the opposite direction.
  10. Distribute the glaze on the entire surface.
  11. Proceed polishing the area but in the opposite direction.
  12. Turn the polisher off when this step is complete.
  13. Remove the excess product using our special Micron Buffing cloth.

Carry out all these steps on the rest of the vehicle until you obtain an optimal result.

Manual application.

    1. Apply two drops of product inside our ergonomic applicator, Foam app.
    2. Outline a work area (60 x 60 cm). G1 Glossy is an excellent product, as it dries slowly and can be easily removed, thus allowing you to work smoothly even on larger surfaces.
    3. Evenly distribute G1 Glossy on the entire surface.
    4. Let the product penetrate slowly, making slow and circular movements.
    5. After two minutes, remove the excess product using our special Micron Buffing cloth, which must be perfectly clean.

Repeat this operation on the entire chassis.

NOTES AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

  • With G1 Glossy, you can enhance the brightness of the chassis and keep its silky effect even after a few washes.

  • G1 Glossy is ideal to cover small imperfections on the chassis.
  • G1 Glossy can be applied to any part of the chassis, even to mouldings and plastic parts.
